The only two-time First Team NAIA All-American in the storied history of Evangel football, Derrick Clark rushed his way into the Evangel record books as the all-time leading rusher at the time with 3,507 total yards.

In just two seasons, he set the career records that still stand today for most touchdowns (44), most points scored (264), most all-purpose yards (191 ypg), most rushing yards per game (175 ypg), average yards per carry (6.9 ypc), and most rushing touchdowns (40).

The Florida native led Evangel in scoring, rushing, and total offense during both the 1992 and 1993 seasons. He still holds single-season records for most touchdowns, most points, rushing yards per game, rushing touchdowns, and total rushing yards.

During his career at Evangel, Clark also set several single-game records. His 300 yards rushing against Missouri Valley in 1993 and four rushing touchdowns accomplished twice are both records that still stand at induction time.

In addition to all of Clark's records, he was also a two-time First Team All-Conference selection during his time at Evangel.

Clark was signed as a free agent by the Denver Broncos in 1994 where he finished with 56 carries and four touchdowns during his rookie season. He signed with the Rhein Fire of NFL Europe and played five seasons (1996-2000) and ranked second all-time in the NFL-Europe career rushing list and holds the record for most rushing touchdowns in a career with 21. He helped the Rhein Fire to the 1998 World Bowl Championship before playing for the Orland Rage of the XFL in 2001 where he led the team in rushing.

Clark currently is a Co-Owner of the Daytona Beach Broncos, an adult developmental league team. Among other ventures that Clark is involved in includes Xtreme Leverage, a football training and mentorship organization for young kids in the community.
