WICHITA, Kan. – After another week of dominant defensive play, Evangel middle blocker Vivianna Sanchez earned her fifth consecutive KCAC Defensive Player of the Week honor.

Sanchez recorded 26 kills last week, helping the Valor go 3-0 on the road, defeating Avila, Kansas Wesleyan, and Haskell.

Vivianna also recorded 19 total blocks last week, averaging 1.90 per set. 15 of her 19 blocks came against Kansas Wesleyan in a 3-1 win.

Vivianna currently ranks third in the nation in blocks per set, currently averaging 1.69 per game.
