SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Evangel Volleyball concludes their brief homestand on Wednesday (Oct. 8) evening, hosting the Ottawa Braves in a KCAC matchup.

First serve is set for 7:00 p.m. in AGFinancial Arena with Mediacom22 providing live coverage of the contest.

OPENING STORYLINES 

• Evangel avenged their previous loss to C of O last Wednesday, sweeping their rival in front of a capacity crowd in Springfield.

• Senior Bella Wakley leads Evangel with 247 kills so far this season, averaging 3.05 per set.

• Redshirt freshman Brooklyn Claxton leads Evangel in assists, currently with 393 this year.

• Senior Vivianna Sanchez leads the team with 139 blocks so far this year, currently averaging 1.72 per set, which is the third top mark in the nation.

• Senior Kenna Wise has continued to be strong defensively, currently with 417 total digs to lead the team, which is tied for the 8th most in the nation.

• In the all-time matchup, Evangel leads Ottawa, 9-5, but fell to the Braves at home last season, 3-2, and are currently on a two-game losing streak against the KCAC opponent.

LOOKING AHEAD

Valor Volleyball travels north to Nebraska on Saturday (Oct. 11) afternoon to take on the York Panthers at 1:00 p.m. in York, Neb.
