SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Valor took on the Vikings of Missouri Valley on Tuesday night and came away with a 3 set victory, moving their win streak to 4 games.
In the first set, EU could not be stopped. The Valor would go on a 17-3 run and dominate the first set from good offensive and defensive play as the Vikings could not score. EU would take the first set, 25-11. In the second set, the Vikings showed life as they began to attack better, hitting their game high in attacking percentage (.106). Even though Missouri Valley attacked better, so did the Valor. With the Valor leading 17-16, EU would go on a 8-4 run and take the set off a kill by Regan Ansley, 25-20. In the third and final set, the Valor took over and finished off the match. EU would record 5 service aces in the set to stifle any Viking comeback attempt, taking the set 25-17.
