KANSAS CITY, Mo. — After an exceptional final year, senior middle blocker Vivianna Sanchez was honored by being named an NAIA All-American, earning second team honors, the highest honor an Evangel Volleyball athlete has earned (Kaley Lyons earned 2nd team in 2011).
Vivianna Sanchez also earned first team AVCA All-Region honors last week and will await to find out if she earned an AVCA All-American honor in the next few days.
Vivianna had a strong season, recording 347 total kills and averaged 2.80 kills per set. Sanchez also led the Valor with a .390 attacking percentage and was strong defensively, finishing with 223 total blocks, averaging 1.80 per set. Sanchez was joined by four other KCAC athletes in earning the honor.
