SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Evangel Volleyball continues KCAC Conference Tournament play on Friday (Nov. 14) afternoon, taking on the two-seeded Bethel College Threshers in the conference semifinals at 4:00 p.m., in McPherson, Kansas.

OPENING STORYLINES

Evangel defeated six-seeded Ottawa on Tuesday, 3-0, in the KCAC Conference Tournament Quarterfinals.

Senior Bella Wakley leads Evangel with 350 kills so far this season, averaging 2.92 per set.

Redshirt freshman Brooklyn Claxton leads Evangel in assists, currently with 613 this year, averaging 5.47 per set.

Senior Vivianna Sanchez leads the team with 213 blocks so far this year, currently averaging 1.78 per set, which is the second highest per set mark in the nation.

Senior Kenna Wise has continued to be strong defensively, currently with 602 total digs to lead the team, which is the second most in the conference.

Wakley, Sanchez, Wise, Sharayah Seymour, Simone Johnson, Jessica Pritchett, and Charlotte Hawkins all earned All-KCAC honors on Thursday.

In the all-time matchup, Evangel and Bethel are tied, 6-6, falling in straight sets on the road on October 24th.
LOOKING AHEAD
With an Evangel win, the Valor will take on the winner of #1 McPherson / #4 Oklahoma Wesleyan in the KCAC Championship in McPherson, Kansas on Saturday afternoon at 5:00 p.m. With a loss, Evangel will await and see if they did enough to earn an at-large bid into the national tournament.
