SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Evangel volleyball team picked up a much-needed win Tuesday night, 3-1, over Missouri Valley in Heart of America Athletic Conference action.

The Crusaders dropped the first set but rallied back to take the next three sets from the Vikings.

Bridget Petersen led the way with 18 kills and a .375 hitting percentage, while Victoria Fishback paced the offense with 41 assists. Fishback also earned a double-double with 15 digs on the defensive side of the net.

Heather Gahm added 17 kills for the Crusaders in the victory as she also moved into the top 10 all-time in kills with 1,292 total kills ranking eighth.

Talesha Scott led Missouri Valley with 12 kills as also earned a double-double with 20 digs.
