SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Evangel volleyball team was unable to hang with the Clarke Pride Saturday afternoon falling 3-1 in conference action.

The Crusaders battled the Pride in the first two sets, falling 27-25 before stealing the second, 25-23. However, Clarke responded in the third and fourth sets to claim a 25-16, 25-19 win.

Heather Gahm and Ayona Tharps finished with double-figure kills as Gahm added 13 and Tharps with 12. Gahm also added four blocks on the defensive side of the net.

Jorden Stacey tallied 23 digs as Bridget Petersen also added four blocks.

UP NEXT
Evangel makes a quick return to the court Saturday to host Clarke in conference action. First serve is scheduled for noon.
