KANSAS CITY, Mo. – In the second edition of the coaches Top 25 rating released on Wednesday, Valor Softball jumped three spots, currently sitting at #14 in the nation.
Evangel (20-4) currently sits at 219 total points earned, going 8-0 since the release of the last poll. The Valor currently hold wins over nationally ranked Oklahoma City and USAO, with three of their four losses coming to current top-25 or NCAA D-III opponents (Central Methodist, Hope International, Greenville).
This is Evangel's first time being ranked as high as #14 since February 1st, 2007, when Evangel Softball was ranked #14 in the nation in the preseason poll.
Valor Softball returns to action today at home against the York Panthers with first pitch set for 11:00 a.m. in Springfield.
