SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The 17th ranked Evangel Softball program travels south to Branson on Wednesday (Mar. 11) afternoon, taking on a pair of NAIA programs at the Branson RecPlex for the final time this season.
First pitch is scheduled for 2:30 p.m., for Wednesday, with the Valor taking on Dakota State and Missouri Valley.
SERIES HISTORY
Evangel leads Missouri Valley, 65-20, and will match up with Dakota State for the first time in program history on Wednesday.
OPENING STORYLINES

Kenna Mayfield currently leads Evangel in most offensive categories, swinging a .443 bat while also stealing 25 bases (t-4th most in nation) and scoring 23 runs.

Naomi Perkins has also swung well to start the season, recording a .413 batting average with 17 RBIs (team high) and 18 runs scored.

Audrey Carlton is just behind Perkins in RBIs, currently with 16 so far this season.

Maddy Meierer leads Evangel with a 1.17 ERA, having gone 9-1 so far this season from the circle with 55 strikeouts.

The Valor offense currently bats .301 this season as a team with nine home runs and 104 RBIs.
LOOKING AHEAD
Evangel Softball competes in their first KCAC series of the year, traveling to Hillsboro, Kan., to take on Tabor at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday (Mar. 14) afternoon.
