SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The 17th-ranked Evangel Softball program hosts their first home doubleheader of the season on Wednesday (Mar. 18) afternoon, taking on the York Panthers.
First pitch is scheduled for 11:00 a.m., for Wednesday's doubleheader at home with Mediacom22 providing the live broadcast.
SERIES HISTORY
Evangel leads York, 9-0, in the all-time series, sweeping the Panthers last season at home, 11-3 and 10-2, both in five innings of play.
OPENING STORYLINES

Kenna Mayfield currently leads Evangel in most offensive categories, swinging a .435 bat while also stealing 30 bases (4th most in nation) and scoring 27 runs.

Naomi Perkins has also swung well to start the season, recording a .377 batting average.

Audrey Carlton leads Evangel in RBIs so far this year, currently with 21.

Maddy Meierer leads Evangel with a 1.03 ERA, having gone 11-1 so far this season from the circle with 66 strikeouts.
