10 unanswered runs in game one allowed Evangel to take a 10-2 win over Tabor, while Madi Bentley threw the season's first no-hitter, allowing the Valor to take a 1-0 win and sweep of the Bluejays.

NOTABLE

  • Maddy Meierer earned the win against Tabor, striking out eight batters and earning her 11th win of the season.

  • Madi Bentley put forth her top outing of the season, holding the Bluejays hitless in her sixth win of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Tabor took an early 2-0 lead in game one, taking advantage of a pair of errors in the inning.

  • Natalie Morgan opened the second inning by hitting a home run to left field to make the deficit just one run, 2-1.

  • Evangel trailed until the top of the fourth inning, as Camryn Casey was hit by a pitch, followed by a Natalie Morgan single, Karli Facklam sacrifice bunt, and a Audrey Carlton single to score Casey. A passed ball allowed Morgan to score, while Carlton came across on a Chloe Krans sacrifice fly, making it a 4-2 EU lead.

  • In the top of the fifth, Kenna Mayfield singled, followed by a Naomi Perkins double. Casey worked a walk to load the bases and a Morgan singled up the middle scored Mayfield and Perkins. An Audrey Carlton single up the middle scored Casey, while Morgan scored on a Lauren Dill sacrifice fly. A Krans singled scored Carlton, making it a 9-2 lead.

  • Mayfield singled, stole second, and scored on a Morgan sacrifice fly, solidifying Evangel's 10-2 win in game one.

  • After neither team did much offensively in game two, the Valor scored a run in the top of the fifth inning, as Danielle Cutbirth singled and Mayfield walked, with Cutbirth scoring after a throwing error on the Tabor catcher, 1-0.

  • Madi Bentley kept Tabor off balance the entire game and was able to shut down the Bluejays earning the no-hitter from the circle in EU's 1-0 win in game two.
