Springfield, Mo. – The Evangel volleyball team matched up against NAIA ranked No. 6 Park on Friday evening and fell short of the mark, dropping the match, 3-0.
Park came out firing on all cylinders in the first set, taking a quick 10-3 lead and never looked back, taking set one. Set two was again an all out attack by the Pirates. EU fought hard and pushed Park, 21-15, but 20 kills in the set was too much to handle, and Park took set two. In the final set, EU set the pace by leading 4-2, but that would be the last time EU led Friday evening as the Pirates would go on runs of 3-0 and 7-0 to take the third and final set.
