Full NAIA All-American List

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – On Tuesday (June 2) morning, Maddy Meierer and Kenna Mayfield were both recognized for their dominant seasons in 2026, as Meierer earned first team NAIA All-American honors and Mayfield was awarded second team honors.

Maddy Meierer, a local Nixa, Mo., native, finished her 2026 campaign with a 1.26 ERA and finished with a 25-5 record, the most wins for a pitcher in a single season at Evangel (breaking her record set last season). Meierer also recorded 185 strikeouts and allowed opponents just a .188 batting average at the plate.

Kenna Mayfield, a local Ozark, Mo., native, batted a blazing hot .478 batting average, leading the Valor as well in stolen bases with 62 this season. Mayfield's 11 triples in 2026 broke the single season record and helped the senior break the career school record, while also hitting an OPS of 1.191.

Meierer and Mayfield are the first Valor Softball duo to earn NAIA All-American honors since 2009 when Kendra Corbin and Breanna Canclini both earned All-American honors.

Evangel concluded its season with a 44-11 overall record, advancing to the opening round semifinals for the second straight season, falling to eventual national runner-up, Southeastern.
