SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Five Evangel Valor softball athletes were honored on Tuesday by being named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team for the 2026 season.

Seniors Kenna Mayfield, Naomi Perkins, Lauren Dill, Madi Bentley, and Camryn Casey were the five Valor recipients of the honor.

The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Softball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA — for each gender.

These athletes had to meet several requirements to garner the honor, including competing in at least 75% of games played (or at least 33 innings pitched), having a 3.50 cumulative GPA, and being at least a sophomore in academic status.

Kenna Mayfield, Naomi Perkins, and Madi Bentley all advanced to the All-American ballot, which will be voted on this week and announced on June 16th.
