Kenna Mayfield Earns Second Consecutive CSC Academic All-American Honor

AUSTIN, Texas – On Tuesday morning, Kenna Mayfield was named as a CSC Academic All-American by the College Sports Communicators, for her hard work in the classroom, as well as the softball diamond in the 2026 season. Mayfield earned first team honors for the second consecutive season, just the third Evangel athlete to ever earn the honor multiple times (Andreas Moeller, Bradley Myers).

A local Ozark, Mo., native, Kenna Mayfield finished her exceptional career in 2026 by batting a team high .478 and recording 88 hits. Mayfield also stole 62 bases and hit 11 triples, breaking the single season school record in the category.

For her efforts, Kenna earned second team NAIA All-American honors at the beginning of the month, joining Maddy Meierer as the only two Evangel recipients in 2026.

21 athletes earned the Academic All-American honor, with the first team having an average GPA of 3.93.

The NAIA Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NAIA national governance structure to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 NAIA Academic All-America® program.

The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes softball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
