Evangel Baseball Hosts Friends for Final Regular Season Series

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Evangel Baseball concludes the 2026 regular season on Thursday and Friday (Apr. 23/24) afternoon, hosting the Friends Falcons for a three game series in Springfield.

First pitch for Thursday's doubleheader and Friday's nine-inning matchup is set for noon. Senior day festivities will begin prior to Friday's first pitch and Mediacom22 will produce Thursday's live stream.

SERIES HISTORY

Evangel is 2-4 all-time against Friends, going 1-2 against the Falcons last season, 20-16 (win), 11-5 (loss), and 1-4 (loss).

OPENING STORYLINES

  • Evangel is currently 22-23 this season, falling in their most recent matchup with OKWU, 12-10.

  • The Valor currently sit seventh in the conference, two games above Sterling and three games above York. Below are seeding scenarios for the Valor.

Evangel Baseball needs at least a win or a York loss to solidify a spot in the upcoming KCAC Conference Tournament. Should they qualify, Evangel will return to action next Wednesday (Apr. 29) afternoon in Salina, Kansas, at Dean Evans Stadium for the first round of the tournament.
