SALINA, Kan. – Evangel Baseball returned to action in the KCAC Conference Tournament on Thursday (Apr. 20) afternoon, taking on the #3-seeded Oklahoma Wesleyan Eagles, aiming to earn a win and advance to the conference semifinals.
The Valor could not keep pace with the Eagles offense, generating just two hits in a 11-0 run-rule seven inning loss, moving Evangel into elimination games the rest of the way.
HOW IT HAPPENED

The Eagles scored three runs before Evangel could collect their first hit, a Quentin Edwards single to open the bottom of the second inning.

Trailing 5-0, Nate Nunes hit a single to get on base, but the freshman could not score in the inning.

OKWU scored six runs in the top of the seventh, taking an 11-0 lead that EU could not overcome, falling 11-0.

With a win, the Valor will return to action at 3:30 p.m. against the #3 Oklahoma Wesleyan Eagles, needing a win to force another elimination game on Saturday. With a loss, the 2026 Evangel Baseball campaign will come to a close.
