SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The 14th-ranked Evangel Softball program concludes their home regular season slate on Saturday (Apr. 18) afternoon, hosting the Bethel College Threshers at the Cooper Softball Complex.
First pitch for Evangel's matchup with the Threshers is set for 12:00 p.m. Due to the change in venue, no live stream will be provided of the contests, but live stats can be accessed by visiting the Evangel Athletics website or by downloading the Evangel Gameday App, available on Android and iOS.
SERIES HISTORY
Evangel leads Bethel, 5-0, in the all-time series, taking a pair of home run-rule victories last season, 12-1 and 10-2, all in five innings of play.
OPENING STORYLINES

Kenna Mayfield currently leads Evangel in most offensive categories, swinging a .463 bat while also stealing 51 bases (3rd most in nation) and scoring 45 runs.

Naomi Perkins has also swung the bat well this season, as Perkins boasts a .381 batting average and 32 RBIs, tied for the team lead with Audrey Carlton.

Maddy Meierer leads Evangel with a 1.19 ERA, having gone 19-3 so far this season from the circle with 148 strikeouts.

The Valor offense currently bats .305 this season as a team with 18 home runs and 225 RBIs. EU has also taken 161 stolen bases as a team, the second highest mark in the nation.

As it currently stands, Evangel leads the conference in total KCAC wins (17), but has one additional loss then OKWU, who sits at 12-4, the fewest losses in the KCAC.
