Evangel Softball Jumps to #17 in Latest Top 25 Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – In the first edition of the coaches Top 25 rating released on Wednesday, Valor Softball jumped eight spots, currently sitting at #17 in the nation.

Evangel currently sits at 228 total points earned, after opening the season with a 12-4 record. The Valor currently hold wins over nationally ranked Oklahoma City and USAO, with three of their four losses coming to current top-25 or NCAA D-III opponents (Central Methodist, Hope International, Greenville).

This is Evangel's first time being ranked as high as #17 since April 18th, 2007, when Evangel Softball was ranked #15 in the nation.

Valor Softball returns to action on Thursday and Saturday (Mar. 5/7) this week in Branson at the Grand Slam Classic.
