Evangel Softball Moves to #13 in Latest National Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – In the third edition of the coaches Top 25 rating released on Wednesday, Valor Softball jumped a spot, currently sitting at #13 in the nation.

Evangel (30-4) currently sits at 315 total points earned, going 10-0 since the release of the last poll. The Valor currently hold wins over nationally ranked Oklahoma City and USAO, as well as (RV) Ottawa, with three of their four losses coming to current top-25 or NCAA D-III opponents (Central Methodist, Hope International, Greenville).

This is Evangel's first time being ranked as high as #13 since May 10th, 2006, when Evangel Softball was ranked #9 in the nation in the final poll.

Valor Softball returns to action tomorrow on the road against Saint Mary in Leavenworth, Kan., with first pitch scheduled for 2:00 PM.
