SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The 14th-ranked Evangel Softball program hosts the Friends Falcons on Monday (Mar. 30) afternoon, searching for their 11th and 12th wins in conference play against a tough KCAC foe.
First pitch is scheduled for 1:00 p.m., for Monday's doubleheader at University Field.
SERIES HISTORY
Evangel leads Friends, 10-2, in the all-time series, sweeping the Falcons on the road and in the conference tournament last season in four games, 3-0, 10-7, 2-0, and 6-0.
OPENING STORYLINES

Kenna Mayfield currently leads Evangel in most offensive categories, swinging a .438 bat while also stealing 38 bases (4th most in nation) and scoring 33 runs.

Naomi Perkins has also swung well to start the season, recording a .387 batting average.

Audrey Carlton leads Evangel in RBIs so far this year, currently with 27.

Maddy Meierer leads Evangel with a 1.17 ERA, having gone 15-1 so far this season from the circle with 96 strikeouts.

Madi Bentley has shined in conference play so far this season, currently with a 0.45 ERA in KCAC games, allowing opponents just a .101 batting average.

The Valor offense currently bats .314 this season as a team with 16 home runs and 172 RBIs. EU has also already taken 121 stolen bases as a team, the fourth highest mark in the nation.

Evangel Softball hits the road on Thursday (Apr. 2) afternoon, taking on the Saint Mary Spires in Leavenworth, Kan., at 2:00 p.m. in a KCAC doubleheader.
