SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The 14th-ranked Evangel Softball program hits the road on Tuesday (Mar. 24) afternoon, taking on the Ottawa Braves for another KCAC series.
First pitch is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., for Tuesday's doubleheader in Ottawa, Kansas.
SERIES HISTORY
Evangel leads Ottawa, 9-8-1, in the all-time series, but were swept at home last season, 12-4 (6 inn.) and 7-4.
OPENING STORYLINES

Kenna Mayfield currently leads Evangel in most offensive categories, swinging a .436 bat while also stealing 35 bases (4th most in nation) and scoring 31 runs.

Naomi Perkins has also swung well to start the season, recording a .391 batting average.

Audrey Carlton leads Evangel in RBIs so far this year, currently with 26.

Maddy Meierer leads Evangel with a 1.19 ERA, having gone 13-1 so far this season from the circle with 80 strikeouts.

The Valor offense currently bats .314 this season as a team with 15 home runs and 151 RBIs. EU has also already taken 110 stolen bases as a team, the second highest mark in the nation.
LOOKING AHEAD
Evangel Softball returns home on Saturday (Mar. 28) afternoon at 1:00 p.m. for a doubleheader matchup against McPherson College.
