HOW IT HAPPENED

  • In game one, Evangel took an early 2-0 lead in the second inning. Megan Stone reached on base via an error and advanced to second after Lauren Dill was hit by a pitch. Annslee Leeviraphan was placed on second due to the international tie breaker and Karlie Romines smacked a ball over the center field wall to give EU a 4-2 lead. OKWU responded with a run of their own in the bottom of the inning, but Maddy Meierer closed the door on a comeback, earning the 4-3 win in game one.
