Results
MARION, Ind. – A pair of exceptional freshmen, Koby Graham and Alex Richardson, traveled to Marion, Indiana, this week to compete in the NAIA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships. Both Graham and Richardson threw in the Javelin event with Richardson also throwing in the discus event.
Facing off against the toughest competition in the nation in the NAIA, both athletes displayed their talents and showed the continued rise of the EU Track and Field program, with Graham's Javelin toss highlighting the meet, placing eighth overall and becoming the first EU Outdoor All-American since the 2012 season.
HIGHLIGHTS

Koby Graham threw an eighth place toss of 60.68 meters, earning his right to the podium and becoming the first EU outdoor All-American since Austin Jacobs in 2012. Graham finished as the top freshman in the nation in the Javelin event.

Alex Richardson placed 15th overall in the Javelin throw with a distance of 57.55 meters, finishing third in the nation for freshman in the Javelin event.

Richardson also competed in the Discus event, where he placed 21st overall with a top throw of 45.57 meters, placing himself as the fourth ranked freshman in the nation in the event.

"I'm really proud of how both our young guys performed. To bring two freshman to nationals is something we are very excited about", stated Head Coach Brandon Staley. "They finished as the top and third freshman javelin throwers in the country. We have a very bright future ahead of us and our program!"
