Austin Dill Earns Spot on Missoula PaddleHeads Opening Day Roster

OFFICIAL PADDLEHEADS RELEASE

MISSOULA, Mt. – Valor Baseball Standout pitcher Austin Dill, was named to the Missoula PaddleHeads Opening Day Roster on Monday, becoming just the seventh Evangel Baseball player ever to join the professional ranks.

Dill joins Jim Mittan, Kirk Hasenzahl, Steve Allison, Brian Heerman, Tim Phipps, and Blake McKnight, as the only EU Baseball athletes to earn professional contracts after their careers with Evangel.

Austin put forth an exceptional career at Evangel, finishing with two EU records, including strikeouts in a career and in a single season. Dill finished his final season in 2023 with 104 strikeouts over 68.2 innings pitched, finishing with a 2.36 ERA. Dill earned All-Conference honors at the end of the regular season and also earned awards for his work in the classroom, being named an NAIA Scholar Athlete and member of the College Sports Communicators All-District Academic Team.

The Missoula PaddleHeads are an independent baseball team of the Pioneer League, which is a member of the MLB Partner League. They are located in Missoula, Montana, and play their home games at Ogren Park at Allegiance Field. The PaddleHeads open their season tonight against the Billings Mustangs at 6:35 PM Mountain Time.
