HILLSBORO, Kan. – Evangel Baseball wrapped up their 2025 campaign on Saturday (Apr. 26) afternoon, taking on the Tabor College Bluejays to close out their final series of the year.

The Valor were only able to score once on Saturday, falling in eight innings of play to the Bluejays, 11-1, ending their season with a 16-34 record.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Tabor took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning.

• Evangel was able to tie the game up at 1-1 when Fischer Ethridge scored on a passed ball.

• The Bluejays scored 10 unanswered runs the remainder of the ballgame, as the Valor offense mustered just two hits after scoring their first run, falling 11-1.

NOTABLE

• Matthew Olson, Justus Cherrico, and Cade Beshore all recorded hits for Evangel on Saturday.

• Fischer Ethridge stole a pair of bases to lead the Valor, also scoring the lone run.
