Evangel Baseball Announces 2026 Schedule

2026 EVANGEL BASEBALL SCHEDULE

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Head baseball coach Sam Jones announced a 50-game schedule for his second season leading the Valor in 2026 on Tuesday.

The 2026 season includes 26 home games and 10 games against opponents who were featured in the first top-25 poll of the year. KCAC conference play continues to feature three game series against conference opponents, a nine-inning match on Fridays and a nine inning and seven inning doubleheader on Saturdays.

Evangel kicks off their season in the month of January, traveling west to Arizona, to compete in the Coach Calderone Invitational, taking on #15 Arizona Christian on Jan. 22, Embry-Riddle (Ariz.) on Jan. 23, and Benedictine-Mesa on Jan. 24. EU continues their road trip on February 3rd, traveling just south to take on longtime rival, College of the Ozarks, before opening their home slate against UHSP on Feb. 6th and 7th. The Valor open conference play on the road against (RV) Kansas Wesleyan on Feb. 13 and 14, before returning home to host (RV) Ottawa on Feb. 20 and 21. Evangel concludes February with a nine-inning road matchup with Avila and a conference series against Bethany on Feb. 27 and 28.

A busy month of March continues with a home matchup against College of the Ozarks on Mar. 3, before Evangel travels to take on Southwestern on Mar. 6/7. The Valor return home for a nine-inning matchup against #12 Oklahoma Wesleyan before again returning to the road, this time to take on York on Mar. 13/14. The Valor return home to host six consecutive games, taking on Avila (Mar. 17), Tabor (Mar. 20/21), and Hannibal-LaGrange (Mar. 24), before closing March with a road matchup against #12 Oklahoma Wesleyan.

Evangel's final month of regular season competition begins on April 3rd with a home weekend series on April 3/4 against Sterling. The Valor hit the road to take on Avila on April 7th before another road KCAC series, taking on Saint Mary (Apr. 10/11). EU's final road game and non-conference matchup takes place on Apr 14 against Hannibal-LaGrange in Hannibal, Missouri. The Valor close out April with seven consecutive home games, hosting McPherson (Apr. 17/18), #12 Oklahoma Wesleyan (Apr. 21), and Friends (Apr. 24/25).

The KCAC Conference Tournament is hosted in Salina, Kan., at Dean Evans Stadium from April 29th - May 2nd.
