SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Three Evangel Valor baseball athletes were honored on Tuesday (June 3rd) by being named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team for the 2025 season.

Graduate Shane Poe was joined by junior Evan Baptiste and sophomore Cooper Wilken on the academic list for the 2025 school year.

The 2025 Academic All-District® Baseball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes baseball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA — for each gender.

These athletes had to meet several requirements to garner the honor, including performing in 90% of the season OR starting in 66% of games (making at least 17 appearances as a pitcher), having a 3.50 cumulative GPA, and being a key participant who had significant statistics that helped the team throughout the season.
