SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Valor Track and Field's Joshua Leazer, Liam Boivin, and the women's 4x800 relay team, consisting of Skylar Adams, Emily Harris, Danielle Caldarelli, and Macy Kopp, are set to take part in the NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championships in Brookings, S.D., from Thursday through Saturday, looking to break school records and grab national honors.
The women's 4x800 meter relay team runs tomorrow (March 2) afternoon at 3:30 p.m. after qualifying with a third place finish at the Heart of America Conference Indoor Meet, beating the "A" standard with a time of 9:35.85. If the women's team finishes in the top eight, they will run again in the finals at 5:20 on Friday (March 3) evening.
Boivin takes part in the 60 meter hurdles prelims on Friday (March 3) afternoon at 12:50 p.m. If Boivin finishes in the top eight, he will run in the finals at 12:55 p.m. on Saturday (March 4) afternoon. Boivin qualified at the Indoor Gorilla Classic with a time of 8.38, breaking the "B" standard.
Leazer will take part in the triple jump at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday (March 4) afternoon. Leazer qualified in Evangel's second meet of 2023, the UCM Indoor Mule Relays, recording a jump of 14.21 meters, beating the "B" standard with a third place finish at the meet.
