PITTSBURG, Kan. – The Evangel men's and women's track and field teams opened their indoor season at the Crimson and Gold Invitational on Saturday, hosted at Pittsburg State University.

The Valor used the meet as a solid tune-up to begin the year, competing against several NCAA D-II schools on Saturday.

HIGHLIGHTS

• Liam Boivin placed 10th in the 60 meter hurdles, running in 8.47 seconds.

• Ethan Montgomery competed in the mile run, placing 11th overall with a time of 4:26.55.

• Delaney Weimer placed 13th in the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.83.

• Lauren Davis recorded a triple jump of 10.33 meters, placing 14th overall.

• Jacob Gillies recorded a jump of 1.81 meters, placing 18th overall.

UP NEXT

Evangel will return to Pittsburg, Kan., on January 21st, to compete in the NAIA/JUCO challenge.
