The Crusaders have made Tiger Stadium their new home in 2016 and enter the game 2-3 in Ozark. ► Defensive end, Josh Evans (Pleasant Hope, Mo.) has been one of the best pass rushers, not just in the Heart but in the nation. Evans currently ranks second in total tackles for a loss (18) and fifth in total sacks (9.5), both marks lead the Heart as well.
► After leading the conference in tackles a year ago, senior linebacker Devon Overall (Monett, Mo.) has battled injuries and still produced high marks. Overall ranks 25th in NAIA in tackles (76) and fourth in the Heart.
► More about Evans. The junior has also eclipsed the single-season record for tackles for a loss with 18 breaking a record he tied last year. He also broke the career tackles for loss record currently with 41.5, while his 16 career sacks are tied for 10th all-time at Evangel.
► Senior linebacker Devon Overall (Monett, Mo.) is also close to breaking into the all-time top 10 for Evangel in tackles. Overall has 76 total tackles and ranks fifth in the league. He is also 23 tackles away from 10th on the Evangel all-time tackles list.
► The senior led duo of Cade Wilke and Brock West have led the Crusader ground game in 2016. Wilke leads the way with 366 yards and two touchdowns while West has amassed 299 yards and one touchdown. The tandem has also excelled off the field as well earning NAIA Academic All-America honors and hold GPA's that should repeat those honors this year.
