Crusaders at Avila in Heart Game of the Week: Evangel plays their final road game of 2015 and will be featured as the Heart of America conference Game of the Week when they take on Avila at 11 a.m. Saturday in Kansas City. The game will be televised in Kansas City on KSMO-TV, regionally on Mediacom Cable Channel MC-22 and on the web on ESPN-3. 

The Crusaders are 3-6 and 0-3 Southern Division of the Heart of America conference. Evangel is coming off a loss at home to Missouri Valley last week, 27-24, in a game they never trailed in until the final minute of regulation. 

Avila is also looking for their first win in the Southern Division of the Heart of America conference as they are 1-8 overall and 0-3 in the South. The Eagles lost at MidAmerica Nazarene 44-21 last week and have dropped four straight. 

Evangel leads the all-time series against Avila 12-2 and have won the last three meetings. The Crusaders were 54-10 winners over the Eagles last year on Oct. 11. Both Evangel losses to Avila came in Kansas City including a 32-28 loss in 2003 and a 27-6 loss at the Zarda Comlex in 2011.
