Crusaders face first road test in HAAC: Evangel plays their first road game in the Heart of America conference this season as they travel to Peru State Saturday for a 1 p.m. game.

The Crusaders are 2-1 and 0-1 in the league after a 24-14 loss last week at home to third ranked Baker. The Crusaders had the game tied at 14-14 in the third quarter before the Wildcats took the lead late in the same quarter and added a field goal late in the game to seal the win. While it is Evangel's first road game in the conference, it is their second road test of the year. The Crusaders won at Arizona Christian 40-16 on August 23.

Peru State is 1-2 and 0-1 in the HAAC. The Bobcats were shut out last week 27-0 at 13th ranked Missouri Valley. Peru State will be playing their third game at their new stadium, the Oak Bowl. The Bobcats opened their stadium with a 28-14 loss to Midland (Neb.) on Sept. 5 but followed that game with a Sept. 13 win over 22nd ranked Friends (Kan.) in the HAAC-KCAC Challenge.

The Crusaders are 4-3 against Peru State all-time. They won at Peru State last year knocking off a Bobcats team ranked #13 at the time 35-27.
