Box Score Springfield, Mo. – Evangel dropped a home conference game to #23 MidAmerica Nazarene at JFK Stadium 52-7.
The Crusaders fell behind 24-0 after the first quarter and were not able to recover turning the ball over eight times dropping Evangel's record to 4-3 and 2-3 in the Heart of America conference.
Evangel senior wide receiver Michael Bowman caught eight passes for 100 yards and the lone Crusader score, a thirty yard touchdown pass from Brett Diers late in the second quarter that made the score 24-7.
The Crusaders dropped to 4-3 and 2-3 in league play and the Pioneers improved to 5-1 on the season and 4-1 in the HAAC.
Evangel will travel to Canton, Missouri to take on Culver-Stockton on Saturday October 25th. Game time is 2:00pm.
