Crusaders host Avila for Homecoming '14: Evangel hosts Avila Saturday at 6 p.m. in their 38th Homecoming game.

The Crusaders are 3-2 and 1-2 in the Heart of America conference. Evangel lost at 21st ranked Benedictine last week 16-6. Saturday's game is Evangel's first home contest since Sept. 20.

Avila is 3-2 and 1-2 in the conference. The Eagles were shutout last week at ninth ranked Missouri Valley 55-0. The game was Avila's first road trip of the year. The Eagles started the season 3-0 with wins over Haskell (Kan.) 61-13, Bethel (Kan.) 41-24 and Culver-Stockton 54-41 to start the conference season.

Evangel leads the all-time series over the Eagles 11-2 and have not lost at home to Avila in their history. The Crusaders won at Avila 48-20 last year.
