WICHITA, Kan. – After an exceptional outing at the Evangel Classic against KCAC foe, Southwestern, and non-conference opponent Stephens, senior Simone Johnson earned KCAC Attacker of the Week while freshman Abby Ferguson was named KCAC Defender of the Week.

Simone Johnson | Sr. | Springfield, Ill.

• Johnson finished Saturday with 23 kills, averaging 3.83 per set on a .429 attacking percentage.

• Simone's top game came against Stephens, where the senior recorded 11 kills on 15 attacks, with no attacking errors (.733 attacking percentage).

• Simone ranks ninth in the KCAC in total kills so far this season.

Abby Ferguson | Fr. | Springfield, Mo.

• Ferguson recorded 11 total blocks on Friday, averaging 2.2 blocks per set.

• Abby also recorded six kills from the middle blocker position, swinging a .357 attacking percentage.

• Ferguson currently ranks fourth in the KCAC in total blocks and this is her second KCAC award of the season.

• Valor Volleyball returns to action on Wednesday (Sept. 16) evening at 6:00 p.m. against Oklahoma Wesleyan in Bartlesville.
