SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Valor Volleyball hosts their annual Evangel Classic on Saturday (Sept. 12), taking on Southwestern and Stephens in AGFinancial Arena. Game times are set for 9:30, 11:45, and 2:00 on Saturday.

OPENING STORYLINES

Evangel went 1-3 at the CSM Labor Day Classic, defeating Saint Francis (Ind.) for their lone win of the weekend.

Junior Ashya Thompson leads the Valor in kills, currently with 110, averaging 2.29 kills per set.

Senior Jessica Pritchett leads the Valor in assists and service aces so far this year, currently with 219 and 18, respectively.

Sophomore Addison Jones leads EU with 215 digs so far this season.

Freshman Abby Ferguson currently leads the team in blocks so far this season with 40, averaging 0.85 per set.

In the all-time matchup, Evangel leads both Stephens and Southwestern, 9-7-2 and 7-3-1, respectively, defeating both teams last season on the road.
