KANSAS CITY, Mo. – After a strong meet in Rolla, Mo., last Saturday, sophomore Devyn Wright was named the NAIA National Men's Track Athlete of the Week.
Wright finished first in the 100 and 400 meter dash last weekend, breaking the school and meet record in the 400 and hitting the NAIA "A" standard.

Placed first in both the 400 meter and 100 meter dash on Saturday.

Ran a 46.60 400 and a 10.69 100, hitting the A standard in the 400 and breaking the meet and school record.

Also broke the school record as a member of the Men's 4x100 Relay.

This is Wright's first week earning a national honor and is the second consecutive week for an Evangel athlete to be named national athlete of the week (Delaney Miller).
Evangel competes at the SBU Bearcat Invitational from Thursday to Saturday this week in Bolivar.
