WICHITA, Kan. – In what proved to be a defensive battle at home against (RV) Kansas Wesleyan, Evangel defensive back Erik Spring was named the KCAC Defensive Player of the Week, for his efforts in securing a 7-6 homecoming victory for EU.

Erik also came away with the game sealing interception on Kansas Wesleyan's final offensive drive.

This is Evangel Football's first defensive player of the week since Nate Swofford earned the award last October.
