TOPEKA, Kan. – Valor Track and Field resumed action on Friday (Jan. 17) evening, traveling to Topeka, Kansas to compete in the Rust Buster, hosted by Washburn, looking to carry their early success over to 2025.
Autumn Nold led the meet for the Valor women, again hitting the NAIA standard in the 400 meter dash and breaking the school record with a time of 57.04, a record she set in the previous meet. Skylar Adams also had a strong meet, placing second in the 800 meter dash with a time of 2:23.42.Â
Devyn Wright highlighted the meet once again for the Valor men, also qualifying for the national meet with his performance in the 400 meter dash, placing 5th with a time of 48.15 seconds. Jacob Gillies also had a strong meet, placing first in the high jump and nearly breaking his school record with a mark of 2.08 meters.
