LINCOLN, Neb. – Valor Track and Field competed at the University of Nebraska on Friday, December 13th, looking to put forth a strong performance and break records at the Husker Holiday Classic, their final track and field meet beforeÂ
Jacob Gillies highlighted the meet for the Valor men, qualifying for nationals in the high jump with a mark of 2.08 meters. Gillies jump broke the school record in high jump, previously held by himself and Joshua Blakely (2024). Trenton Braswell again competed well, breaking the school record he set in the last meet in the weight throw event, with a mark of 16.60 meters. The men's 4x400 meter relay team rounded out broken school records, running a time of 3:21.93 to place seventh overall. Devyn Wright again ran well in the 200 meter dash, placing first in the event with a time of 21.63.
Autumn Nold highlighted the meet for Evangel's women, breaking the school record in the 400 meter dash, running a time of 57.90, placing fifth overall.Â

Evangel Track and Field will travel to Topeka, Kansas, on January 17th to compete at the Washburn University "Rust Buster" in their first meet of 2025.
