HOW IT HAPPENED
-

-
Benedictine scored three runs in the bottom of the third to take a 4-1 lead.
-
The Valor had a batter hit a double in the fourth, sixth, and seventh innings (Nathan Weatherly, Carson Sturdefant, Cook) in game three, but in each inning, the runner was left stranded, as EU fell, 4-1.
-
Benedictine scored three runs in the bottom of the second inning in game four, taking a 3-0 lead over Evangel.
-
The Valor were nearly the victims of a Benedictine no-hitter, but in the sixth inning following a Brennan Espy walk, Athanie Leeviraphan hit a double to put two runners in scoring position with no outs, the biggest opportunity EU had the entire afternoon. Sturdefant and Levi Loughridge would both hit sacrifice flies to score both runners and make it a 3-2 Benedictine lead.
-
The Ravens tacked on two insurance runs in the bottom of the sixth and Evangel's offense could not muster any additional hits, ultimately falling, 5-2.
