SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Williams Baptist scored a trio of second-half goals to take control of a tightly-contested battle and earn a 3-0 victory over the Evangel men's soccer team Tuesday afternoon at Coryell Field.

After Evangel withstood a first-half charge by the Eagles that included 11 shots, WBU got an unassisted goal from Thayrone Cazeca in the 66th minute to take a 1-0 lead. Gabriel Otero added a goal 15 minutes later to double the Eagle lead, before Vitor Costa scored off a feed from Jacobo Obrador in the final minute.

Alejandro Perez saved all four EU shots on goal to keep the Crusaders off the scoreboard. Obrador registered six shots in the contest to lead WBU's 22-shot barrage.

Zac Rose made seven stops in net for the Crusaders, while Blake Stoner led the EU attack, recording a pair of shots.
