Walnut Ridge, Ark. – Evangel forward Kyler Moore had two goals but Williams Baptist (Ark.) scored three times in the first half to get past the Crusaders 4-2 Tuesday in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas.
Moore, a junior from Sunrise Beach, Missouri, tied the game with his first goal on the day in the 14th minute knotting the game 1-1.
Matheus Allonso scored all four goals for Williams Baptist and put the Eagles ahead 4-1 with his final goal in the 75th minute.
Moore got Evangel back in the game with a goal in the 82nd minute to make it 4-2 but the Eagles held off the Crusaders for the win.
Evangel dropped to 0-4 while Williams Baptist stayed unbeaten at 4-0.
The Crusaders play their first ever game as a Heart of America conference member Saturday when they travel to William Penn. Kickoff is 1:30 p.m. in Oskaloosa, Iowa.
