SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Evangel University director of athletics, Chuck Hepola, announced that Kyle Beard has resigned as men's soccer head coach and a national search for the next head coach has begun. 

"We are grateful for Coach Beard's contributions to our men's soccer program and we pray for the best moving forward for him and his family," said Hepola. "Our focus now is supporting our student-athletes and finding the right leader for Evangel Men's Soccer."

Beard helped lead the Valor to their two strongest seasons in the program's young history in 2024 and 2025, going a combined 23-31-16 in his four year tenure at Evangel, guiding EU to their first ever conference tournament appearance last season.
