SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Evangel Women's Soccer hits the road on Friday (Aug. 29) afternoon, taking on Southwestern Christian at 4:00 p.m. in Bethany, Oklahoma.

The Valor bounced back on Tuesday, taking a 2-1 come from behind victory against William Woods to move back to .500 on the season.

The Valor defense tightened up after allowing three goals in their season opener, allowing just one goal on a corner against William Woods. Rylee Clapp earned six saves in the victory.

Evangel will match up with Southwestern Christian for the second time in program history, as both teams tied last season 0-0 in a home contest. Clapp finished with nine saves in the tie.

Evangel Women's Soccer resumes their four-game road trip next Wednesday (Sept. 3) evening, taking on NCAA D-III University of the Ozarks in Clarksville, Ark., at 5:00 p.m.
