SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Evangel Women's Soccer hits the road on Friday (Aug. 29) afternoon, taking on Southwestern Christian at 4:00 p.m. in Bethany, Oklahoma.

OPENING STORYLINES 

• The Valor bounced back on Tuesday, taking a 2-1 come from behind victory against William Woods to move back to .500 on the season.

• Amaura Austell and Anna Crain both scored goals on Tuesday, currently leading Evangel with one each.

• Ava Campbell leads Evangel with one assist so far this year.

• The Valor defense tightened up after allowing three goals in their season opener, allowing just one goal on a corner against William Woods. Rylee Clapp earned six saves in the victory.

• Evangel will match up with Southwestern Christian for the second time in program history, as both teams tied last season 0-0 in a home contest. Clapp finished with nine saves in the tie.

LOOKING AHEAD

Evangel Women's Soccer resumes their four-game road trip next Wednesday (Sept. 3) evening, taking on NCAA D-III University of the Ozarks in Clarksville, Ark., at 5:00 p.m.
