SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Evangel Women's Basketball juniors Ali Kamies and Carson Dillard, as well as sophomore Kamie Jenkins were honored by being named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team for the 2024-25 season.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA — for each gender.
Ali Kamies was chosen to advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced on April 16th.
All three athletes had to meet several requirements to garner the honor, including performing in 90% of the basketball team's games, having a 3.50 cumulative GPA, and being a key starter who had significant statistics that helped the team. Kamies and Dillard led Evangel offensively this season, while Jenkins was a force on the glass, leading the team in rebounds per game.
