WICHITA, Kan. – Two Evangel Valor men's basketball standouts have earned KCAC honors with Garrett Davault highlighting the awards, being named to the All-KCAC second team, while Harrison Doennig was named to the All-KCAC freshman team, the league office announced Tuesday.
A junior guard from Norwood, Mo., Davault has been Evangel's leading scorer and rebounder for the majority of the season, averaging 15.7 points per game, as well as 5.2 rebounds per game for the Valor, while shooting the highest percentage on the team (51.1 percent).
Doennig, a redshirt freshman from Springfield, rounded out honorees, averaging 6.2 points per game and 3.1 rebounds per game in the regular season, while also being a defensive force for EU in the paint.
Evangel (13-15) opens play in the KCAC Conference Tournament on Wednesday (Feb. 26) night in Bartlesville, Okla., against the top seeded Oklahoma Wesleyan Eagles in a 7 p.m., contest. Tickets can be purchased by clicking here.
