CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Valor XC traveled north to Iowa on Saturday (Oct. 4) evening, taking part in the Seminole Valley Stampede, hosted by Mount Mercy. In what was a tough field of several top 25 programs, the Valor men finished sixth overall, while the women placed ninth.
The Valor women were led by a 21st place finish from Emily Harris (23:28.9) in the 6k run, while Kadence Oehlschlager (31st, 23:45.1) and Kayden Jones (65th, 25:07.6) rounded out Evangel's top three finishes on Saturday.
The Valor men placed sixth as a team behind a 11th place finish from Ethan Montgomery (25:13.9). Blake Smith and Ethan Smith rounded out Evangel's top three finishers on Saturday as Blake placed 17th with a time of 25:28.2 and Ethan finished 20th with a time of 25:32.1.
